This is the first of a monthly series highlighting my monthly favorite photos. I am going to choose my top three favorite photos.
The first one is my brother Zach, riding through downtown Houghton on his new scooter. The scooter is his newest tool for delivering subs for Jimmy Johns. If you see him around the Copper Country this summer, make sure to honk, then Tweet at him (@ZacharyClaude)! I took the photo using my iPhone (most of my photos for the upcoming future will have that characteristic), and edited it using my favorite camera app, Camera+.
A couple runners up
Mary Altman, a 105-year-old resident of PortagePointe. I spent about 45 minutes with her one day at work, hearing her life story, which was very interesting. She’s the oldest resident at PortagePointe, and possibly in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as a whole. If you see me, ask me about her, I’d love to tell her tale. This was taken with a Canon DSLR (not sure the model at the moment) at my work.
The final is a photo of my brother Zach (same one as the first one!) and my cousin Megan, during the second annual celebration of Zach’s 21st birthday. We went on a Keweenaw bar crawl that night, attempting to visit more than 15 bars throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. We made it through about 10, maybe? This is from the Gay Bar, which was probably the best stop of them all.
